Last Post

Why does my last post have a yellow undertone?  I was trying to change the font color and that's what I got, or maybe I was just trying to be festive like a jack-o-lantern, none the less it is kind of annoying.  Oh well.

It's Getting Too Close

I kind of feel numb to the fact that I'm moving most of the time, but other times I really feel it.  Like tonight when I had to say goodbye to Dr. M.  I have such respect and regard for that man.  If it wasn't for him I wouldn't be where I am today.  He offered me the job as hospitalist and when the company was bought out, he gave me the chance of a lifetime to work in the ER.  I will never forget him saying, "Don't let me down."  I think if asked he would proudly say that I didn't either.  As he hugged me tonight it was all I could do to get out of there with a smile on my face and without tears.
Last night my friend LC helped me take down all of my pictures, the vinyl on the walls, and patch the nail holes.  She even fixed the drain stopper on my bathroom sink.  Who needs a man, I just need my girlfriends!  My house is in major disarray.  It is really driving me crazy.  The movers come on Wednesday to pack and I feel that I need to clean and organize before they come.  I have tomorrow off.  Lets hope that even though it is the sabbath that I can get a few things done on my to do list.
Today while I sat at work doing not much of anything, I know can you believe I said those words?  It was extra, extra slow today, which was fine by me, however I kept thinking of all that I could be doing if I wasn't at work.  Anyway, I did call the cable/internet company to cancel that, which was one thing checked off my super long list of things to do.  And before work I enjoyed a Piyo class.  Just what I needed.  I also got my car washed.  They both felt really good.  And of course I spent $129 at Aldies buying my favorite canned foods.  I know my movers are going to wonder why I have so much food storage.  Tomorrow I say my official goodbye to my ward.  Let's hope I can keep my emotions under control.  I wonder if I'm the only one who cries when it comes to goodbyes.  I hate them, I'd rather just leave quietly, which is just what I have planned.

Post 200

Do you realize that today marks post 200? Probably not but it is. Just thought I'd share that with you. It is 4am and I've been awake for an hour. Yes, I know I should be sleeping, but I woke up for some unknown reason from my dream world; probably because my bladder couldn't take it any more. Yes, I know I'm only 34 but my bladder is either really small or it thinks it's 80. Nonetheless, I'm awake; and not because I drank one of these. This is what was on my desk when I walked in this morning. Thought it was pretty funny that they were sitting in a cup holder.
That's Dr. C. He was teasing me today telling me he was glad I came on time today, because I came in a few hours late on Saturday (they called me at 11, just as I was getting out of the shower). I thought my shift started at 1 and not 10. Hey, that's only the first time I've done that. People do it all the time. At least Saturday was super slow.
My tummy is hungry, which is weird given the fact that I had a lovely lunch/dinner from Jimmy Johns my favorite sandwich shop across from the ER thanks to Dr. C for ordering for most of us in the department yesterday. I wish I would have taken a picture of him inhaling his lunch over the garbage can. I was afraid I was going to have to perform the Heimlich on him, but he said he would have just preferred mouth to mouth. Seriously, if my husband (if I had a husband) said something like that to his co-worker, he'd be sleeping on the sofa. I sure love my nurses. I consider all 100 of them my friends. After my Monday shift, which was one of the best Monday's ever, I enjoyed a lovely cup of tomato and crab bisque and a salted carmel brownie from Amelies where I had a relaxing time with my friend Carley before we said our final goodbye. I loved how she put it as I dropped her back off in the hospital parking lot, "we're doing this goodbye quick." Surprisingly I haven't felt emotional this week, given this is my last full week in Charlotte. I'm sure it's just because I've worked the last 4 days and have so much on my to-do-lists for my next 2 days off. No worries, I'm sure come Sunday I won't have dry eyes. Today was a last for me to see my dear friend and co-worker Jodia come in for her night shift. I sure love this women. She is such an example of endurance. She is a single mother with an almost 4 year old and she works the night shift. I don't know how she does it but she does and she is always smiling and laughing. She has become such a wonderful friend and therapist to me. I ended this evening or rather it was last evening given the fact that it is now 417am on Tuesday with a sweet conversation with my grandma Betty, who discussed (as I was dumping my annuals in the garbage) with me about her 29 moves. One move she only had a 3 day notice. She told me to stand over my movers and if they pack something I won't need to get rid of it before they put it in the box. I'm just hoping to get rid of things before the movers come. I must say I've done a rather good job at doing so thus far. I really need to clean the junk drawer so all that junk doesn't follow me to MT. My move 4 years ago, Rachel dumped my junk drawer in a box and it sat in my house for 4 years. Just before my 4 year mark I went through that box. Will not happen again. Ok, I think I'm going to try to put my to-do-list to rest for now and attempt to fall back to sleep so I can get up to go to my very last cycle class with my favorite instructor Angela. Sad class for sure. My tummy is still growling. It's just going to have to growl, I'm not getting out of my warm bed.

Yard Sale!

This morning I got up 2 hours ago at 630am to have my first ever yard sale. I knew that it was going to be cold, but not this cold. It's only 50 this morning. And then as I sat out I decided to look at the forecast in Deer Lodge. Today it's suppose to be in the 70's, but by the end of the week the high is only suppose to be in the 40's and there is a ? snow. I had to go in and change from my flip flops into socks, I have a long sleeved shirt and jacket on and a blanket and I'm still cold. How will I ever survive in DL? Well, for starters I won't be sitting out on a Saturday morning having a yard sale. I only am doing it because my community did all of the publicizing, I have lots to get rid of, and instead of just giving it away I might as well make a few bucks. So far in the first 1 1/2 hours I've made $56. Not too shabby. I'll let you know the final. Can't imagine it will be much more. It's funny to see all the cars drive by, some stop, some just walk slowly by, and other's rummage through all of my crap and bargain trying to find the best deal. Heck I'll take a buck for pretty much anything. I had this over the stove top thing that I took out when I first moved here. I was just going to throw it away, but some guy just bought it for $5. He also bought this crappy vacuum that I bought when I first moved here for $5 and my lawn blower thing for $5. Sweet deal. I mean really I could have just tossed them, but no I made a few bucks. I still have tons of clothes. I guess people don't go to yard sales for clothes. I will just have to give them to my friends and then what they don't take they'll have to take them to the goodwill. I will take some of this left over stuff to the church on Thursday for our swap table for RS, then the rest of it is going to the goodwill for a nice tax write off. As for this yard sale thing, I'd be ok if I don't have one again. Although this little guy just came with his cash box, sorry there's no toys here. But low and behold he just bought this little lantern for $2. It was so cute to see him walk away with his new treasure. I'm really sad that I just sold all of my bar stools. They were something I looked for for along time and went so well with my decor. They weren't comfortable by any means, but they looked good. I got them for $25 each and just sold them for $30 (all together), not to shabby of a return, since I did use them for nearly 7 years. Ok, so I've been out here in the cold for 3 hours and I've made a total of $91, so I think it is time to go in, get ready for the day, enjoy a session of conference, and then work my last weekend. Not so excited for the working part, but conference is always wonderful. And I might add Boise State plays Nevada today. Boy do I love my Boise State Bronco's. It's one of the greatest things about the fall; GO BRONCO'S! Oh and by the way, Happy October 1st. Only 12 days before I leave=(
