Light The World Day 3

Day 3 Jesus helped others see the light and so can you.  As the Light of the World, Jesus Christ was born so that no one would have to live in darkness. He miraculously healed the blind, but that’s far from the only way Jesus Christ can open our eyes. Today, there are many ways we can help others—and ourselves—to see the things that matter most.

This evening I attended the Phoenix Symphony Christmas Program.  It was amazing!  The most incredible song that was sung was Mary Did You Know?  I'll admit this hasn't always been my favorite song, but I saw it differently tonight.  The man who sang it, sings on Broadway.  His voice was powerful and he sang with so much feeling.  I was touched especially when he sung, about Jesus giving sight to a blind man.  The spirit in that room when he finished singing was almost tangible.  Tonight as this song was sung, I saw the Savior in a new light.
I was also able to invited a recently widowed sister from my ward to accompany and mom.  It was so sweet to watch her excitement through her eyes.

Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day walk on water?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you've delivered, will soon deliver you
Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand?
Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod?
And when you kiss your little baby, you have kissed the face of God
Mary did you know, Mary did you know, Mary did you know
The blind will see, the deaf will hear and the dead will live again
The lame will leap, the dumb will speak, the praises of the lamb
Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy will one day rule the nations?
Did you know that your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?
This sleeping child you're holding is the great I am
Mary did you know, Mary did you know, Mary did you know
