Ovarian Cancer Collection Jars

June 2013 at the age of 36 I was diagnosed with Stage III Ovarian Cancer.  After 4 months of chemo, I went into remission.  I had 18 healthy, happy months in remission until cancer returned exactly 2 years from my initial diagnosis.  I have begun chemo again and will continue to fight this fight.

Do you know that September is National Ovarian Cancer Month?

In support of National Ovarian Cancer Month The Young Family would like to raise money, to be put towards finding a test for early ovarian cancer detection. To this day, there is not an early detection test for Ovarian Cancer; it is our hope that someday in our lifetime there will be.  We have been blessed with many friends all over the country and would appreciate your help in this cause.

As women we all enjoy a day at the salon and spa.  If you are a beautician or if you have a salon that you frequent, would you consider placing a jar and information on Ovarian Cancer in their salon during the month of September or through the end of 2015?

However, we won’t limit this to salons.  If you have a place of business that you can set out a jar to raise money and awareness for this disease, we would love to send you one too.

100% of donations will be put towards Ovarian Cancer Research.

If you are interested and willing to help in this endeavor please send your mailing address to tealtoesforterah@gmail.com.

All collection jars along with information on Ovarian Cancer and ribbons to be worn throughout September, will be sent to you the last week in August.
Thank You to my creative, crafty sister-in-law Danielle for her hard work and talents!

Teal Toes for Terah was started by a friend in Australia.  Being so far away, she wanted to do something to let me know she was thinking of me, so she painted the toenails of her family members teal.  Over the last 2 ½ months Teal Toes for Terah has exploded as many family, friends, and friends of friends have painted their toenails teal and sent photos. We encourage you to paint your toenails teal through the month of September and of course, please send pictures!  Here are just a few of the awesome teal toes pictures I've been sent!
