Tourists and Hiccups

Being a tourist can be fun, but there are times when I'd like to be home snuggled in my bed with my pillow.  Last night we slept in this not so great hotel.  I was super tired and slept great, but there was no soap and the worst news of all...I left my pillow there and before we pulled out of the parking lot they had already stripped the beds.  We looked for my pillow and it was no where to be found.  I have had that pillow for at least 10 years.  I am so sad.  Someone probably took off with it and it's fancy ugly 500 count pillow case, all because it is a foam pillow.  Oh well, I have at least 4 more somewhere on a truck probably still in Charlotte for all I know, but they aren't broken in 10 years..
This morning it was freezing and very windy.  We reorganized the car thanks to me and my organization skills and got everything in nice and snug.  We've collected just a few things on our trek west.  We then went to the absolutely most beautiful Nauvoo temple.  The exterior is beautiful, but the interior is beyond beautiful.  I enjoyed every minute of my time there.
Yep, it was pretty windy.  Too windy to take another picture.
We visited many of the historic buildings in Nauvoo and went on a carriage ride where we were told some pretty amazing stories.

This evening we went to a play put on by the senior missionaries.  It was pretty funny and entertaining.

We did have a more than one hiccup today...This moving thing has not gone as smoothly as I was told it would.  I was told that my driver would contact me YESTERDAY.  It's the end of today and I still haven't heard from him as he hasn't returned my phone calls.  In fact the moving coordinator called me today and told me that my arrival date wouldn't be until next Monday.  I had called her yesterday morning explaining that I needed it there by the weekend, which they were suppose to have it there anyway.  Well, lets just say after having a word with the salesman who was the person who was over at my house for over 2 hours when this moving thing initially started, better get things done tomorrow or he won't be getting a bonus.  You see he informed me a number of times that his bonus was based off of his customer feedback.  At least I'm not doing this in a covered wagon.
...My sister is rather ill.  She has something called achalasia, basically it means she has a very narrow opening in her esophagus therefore not much food reaches her stomach before she regurgitates it or as they say it in the south "vomican."  Definitely a word I won't miss; were do you get vomican from vomiting I'll never understand.  This is so rare that it was on my boards; 1 in 100,000 people have it.  Most of her tests came back as I was finishing my last shifts at the hospital.  I talked to one of the surgeons who said that if she sent her tests to him that he would call Dr. H the specialist and get her in.  Many prayers were answered the day she got her final test back.  My friend Beth who I worked with came over to say goodbye the day the movers were there.  She came as I was hearing the test results.  I told her what was going on.  To make a long story short, it turns out her friend's husband from PA school is Dr. H's fellow.  She had had dinner with them the week previous and were talking about the very subject.  She called her friend right there in my reading nook and a few hours later he called me telling me he would get her in, even though they didn't have an opening until January.  I have lots of frequent flyer miles and was able to get the lowest miles for the days we needed.  We fly to Charlotte Wednesday Oct. 26 have an appointment with Dr. H when we get there and she will have surgery on Oct. 27.  We will be there until Nov. 4, when we will fly back to Idaho getting in late that night.  I will drive back to DL the next day to start work Nov. 7.
