The Book Of Mormon
For those of you who aren't aware, I belong to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints otherwise known as the Mormons. I have always been a member. As a member of our church we believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly, we also believe the Book Of Mormon to be the word of God. I have read the Book Of Mormon more times than I can count. This week I finished reading it again. There is always a sense of accomplishment when I finish reading it and I have a greater love for the book and the gospel of Jesus Christ each time I read it. I have a testimony that the Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ. I know it was written for us today. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith was a prophet, that he restored the same church that was here on the earth when the Savior was here. I have a testimony that Joseph Smith translated the Book Of Mormon through special tools given to him by our Heavenly Father for the purpose of teaching us today the word of God. There are so many scriptures that are my favorite and it seems that every time I read the Book Of Mormon the things that I read relate exactly to what is going on in my life at that point. One of my favorite scriptures is Jacob 4:10 "Wherefore, brethren, seek not to counsel the Lord but to take counsel from His hand. For behold, ye yourselves know that he counseleth in wisdom, and in justice, and in great mercy over all his works." If you are interested in reading the Book Of Mormon feel free to ask and I will get you a copy.
